Dichos discursos comienzan a irrumpir en occidente a partir de comienzos de los a\u00f1os 2000, particularmente en los \u00e1mbitos de las pol\u00edticas p\u00fablicas y de los saberes \u201cpsi\u201d, en especial en la sub-disciplina denominada Psicolog\u00eda Positiva. La principal hip\u00f3tesis de este art\u00edculo es que dichos discursos participar\u00edan de la racionalidad de gobierno de s\u00ed y de los otros propia del neoliberalismo contempor\u00e1neo. En primer lugar, el art\u00edculo muestra que las pol\u00edticas p\u00fablicas, en detrimento de las tradicionales variables objetivas \u2013como el PIB o el Ingreso Per C\u00e1pita\u2013, han incorporado la necesidad de medir y de producir el bienestar subjetivo. En segundo lugar, el art\u00edculo muestra el giro inaugural de la Psicolog\u00eda Positiva, la cual sostiene que la felicidad no ser\u00eda efecto de circunstancias externas, sino que fundamentalmente el resultado de actividades voluntarias que cada individuo puede realizar. Finalmente el art\u00edculo, sirvi\u00e9ndose de las distinciones entre las formas de gobierno propias del liberalismo cl\u00e1sico y del neoliberalismo introducidas por M.
